Brilio.net/en - Have you ever imagined yourself living in the underwater city? Recently, a Belgian architect named Vincent Callebaut created 3D printed oceanscraper called AEQUERA. This futuristic underwater city is planned to establish in Rio de Janero shore, Brazil, as a way to find out the sustainable solutions to climate changes by promoting sea life.
As quoted from mirror (29/12), each oceanscraper is able to hold up to 20,000 people to stay and work in that futuristic city. The eco-friendly structures do not require fuels as they can produce their own energy and heat.
Moreover, fresh and drinking water can be obtained by OTEC power plant using the in-depth pressure to neutralize the osmotic pressure and separate the water from the salt. Meanwhile, the oxygen will be renewed through chimneys in the tower.
Each oceanscraper has 500 meters width and 250 floors. In addition, it has a jellyfish-like structure with the entrance on the surface. Inside of the building consists of homes, offices and workshops, science laboratories, sea farms, agricultural areas, shared orchards with grass and food gardens.
Each eco-village costs around 1,430 per square meter to build.
