Brilio.net/en - If youve never heard of Jambi, thats going to change! A newly-developed tourist destination has opened in the Sumatran province.

Located in Muara Madras village, in Merangin, Hestis Garden has 25 different kinds of local flowers and it costs nothing for tourists to see them.

The majestic Mount Masurai rises in the background in a province thats also one of the last habitats of the Sumatran tiger. A cool mountain breeze lends itself to a stroll through the gardens where, you can enjoy thousands of beautiful flowers, including chrysanthemums, the pastel-colored begonia, bright purslane flowers or (known as krokot), the red canna and huge sunflowers. Its the first item on that list, though, that draws many in the crowds.

Chrysanthemums are seasonal. While so many people are curious about the flower, I think I have to prepare something that is even more amazing to display the beauty of Chrysanthemums. So people can enjoy their times in Jangkat even more, Hesti Haris, the owner of the garden, told Seputar Indonesia.

Since its opening days, Hestis Garden has drawn crowds. People come from as far as Jakarta and Bandung just to see it. More than 6,000 people come here every day, enough that the management has to set a time limit for each visitor to keep the garden in top condition.

Hesti didnt get any help from designers to create her garden. She says everything was built out of a womans instinct and a love of flowers.

To create the pattern, we only use plastic rope and wood slats. We made the line patterns, or circular ones. There are no blueprints on paper, all just spontaneously made. I only got some helps from my driver, crew and local residents, Hesti said.

The flowers themselves are sourced locally. Hesti says most were donated by her neighbors and that she plans to add many more.
