It all started with Jim Geovedi's Facebook status.

Brilio.net/en - The myth that the Indonesian motorbike app Go-Jek protects its user data better than the Swedish music streaming giant Spotify is just that a myth according to Jim Geovedi.

You probably dont know Jim. Hes an IT security expert from Bandar Lampung, a city at the southern tip of Sumatra across the Sunda strait from Jakarta and Java, who currently lives in London.

He posted on his Facebook account defining the security of user data with Gojek and Spotify. He said Gojek sets out that it does not guarantee the security of peoples data and advises users not to share their passwords with anyone else. Go-Jek is clear that you use the app at your own risk.

Spotify pledges to always try to protect the information of all users. Like Go-Jek, Spotify also suggests creating a unique and strong password and logging out immediately after accessing Spotify via computer and browser.

But Spotify also says no security measures are completely secure and it does not guarantee the security of user information.
