WebTVAsia’s Rise of Asia Forum preceded Viral Fest Asia

Brilio.net/en - As part of the pre-event series to Viral Fest Asia 2016 (link to VFA 1), WebTVAsia invited press, content creators, social media influencers, filmmakers and directors from Asian countries to join in the Rise of Asia Forum at the ballroom of the Golden Tulip Bay View Hotel in Jimbaran, Bali last Friday.
A mellow performance from a rising Malaysian guitarist Roger Wang opened the forum. He marked the occasion by playing on a handpainted batik guitar from G&B Guitars, produced in Yogyakarta. After one song, WebTVAsia Group CEO Fred Chong gave his opening speech, followed with a speech by Noviza Temenggung, the Deputy Director International Marketing of Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy (Bekraf).

Bekraf believes this is indeed an exciting time for advancing the role of Asian Content, especially for Indonesia, as it enters a new phase of development as a major economic force in Asia, said Temenggung, reading from a written speech by Bekraf chief Triawan Munaf, who was unable to come.
Viral Fest Asia is the only platform in which Indonesian and international Youtubers and Content Creators can present their work on a renowned scale.
The forum gathered the 27 most influential players in Asian media entertainment industry such as platforms, networks, brands, marketers, creators, and talent in four intriguing panel sessions; Media and Networks, Brands and Marketing, Creators and Talent and Creators Showcase.

WebTVAsia took this moment to announced their first original content production, a reality show called Asia Hot Angels. The program involved 12 beautiful Asian social media influencer from 12 countries who compete with each other in many challenges, games and stunts. Its completely shot in Bali and will be launched in August.

There was also a showcase of virtual reality technology from Whaley VR, a company pioneering the latest hardware and software to make VR broadcast simple for mainstream users from China.

The forum then followed with a gala dinner performing rising artists from Asian countries to before the Viral Fest Asia 2016 concert the next day.
