It's dark inside the cinema and if there's a bed involved, surely there'll be some saucy goings-on?

At least that's the thinking.

Palembang Deputy MayorFitrianti Agustinda Fitri, accompanied by local Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Chairman and Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) Chief, conducted an inspection to a newly opened CGV Blitz Cinema in Social Market Complex (SoMa) mall located at Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan on Wednesday.

Fitri came to see the cinema's Velvet Class studio that has couple seating concept basically a bed for two with pillows and blankets.

I want explanation why the concept is like this? she asked, as quoted by Sriwijaya News.Instead of watching (movie), people can do other things.

Representative of the cinema said that the concept is intended to provide relaxing entertainment for visitors, especially those who come with their families, but Fitri would not accept such excuse.

Can you make sure that all visitors are husband and wife? What if young people watch movies here? What are they going to do? she asked.

She forced the cinema to shut down the studio until they change the seating concept.

If you keep opening (this studio), well revoke the permit, Fitri insisted.

Satpol PP was even ordered to set up a line and guard the studio to prevent re-opening.

The studio is now closed for public until further notice.
