This 26-year old prince of electronic dance music is already preparing for his retirement, at least for the short-term. He came to this bold decision after being unable to come into good terms with his true self due to the heavy influence that the world of music had stressed upon his health. He faced acute pancreatitis, and even got his gall bladder and appendix removed recently.
He prepared a touching letter to his fans on http://avicii.com/, which partly read:
My choices and career have never been driven by material things, although Im grateful for all the opportunities and comforts my success has availed me. I know I am blessed to be able to travel all around the world and perform, but I have too little left for the life of a real person behind the artist.
Avicii has always been renowned for his impeccable taste in music. There is something so unique about his songs that leaves us wanting more. His two highly successful albums to date are entitled True and Stories. He will conclude his phenomenal feat with a performance at the Creamfields Festival in the UK.
Avicii fans, don't lose all hope just yet. On the bright side, there is a glimmer of hope that he will be back with a bang in the future. As he recently revealed to the public, One part of me can never say never, I could be back ...but I wont berightback. Heres to a speedy recovery, Avicii!
