Brilio.net/en - As keepers of the countrys peace, law enforcements, peoples protectors and the deterrent force against crime, police officers are meant to be good role models. But sometimes, increasing life necessities has forced people to seek for another source of living and police officers are no exception.

In this case, Police Chief Brigadier (Bripka) Seladi deserves to be considered a hero. Instead of obtaining money in objectionable ways, such as bribes, he chose to be a garbage collector in his free time.

He serves in sub-district commands (Polsek) in the city of Malang, East Java. Considering the fact that Bripka Seladi is working in the department that controls driver's licences and vehicle registration, its really easy for him to obtain that additional grease. But he doesnt want to feed his family with such money and dishonor himself.

Though some people might consider his side-job unsavoury and even look at him in disdain, the 58-year-old police officer believes that what he is doing since 2006 is not only benefits him but also advantageous to the environment and community.
