Brilio.net/en - Is there life on Mars? The lingering question not only continues to puzzle scientists, but also is the source of huge excitement to space enthusiasts. Scientists have claimed to have found definitive proof that there was once life on Mars. The evidence which they say confirms the existence of ancient Martian bacteria. But were talking about the more intelligent creatures. The types that can think and build like we do.

Theory about extraterrestrial life on Mars has become very popular over the past years. Discoveries like the so-called Face on Mars and the occasional sighting of flowing water have only fueled the wave of speculation.

Considering the popularity of the topic, its surprising that weve never heard about the best possible evidence of intelligent life on Mars: the so-called Monolith of Phobos.

1. Phobos is one of Mars two moons. It's a small, potato-shaped rock that makes its way around the red planet once every seven hours.

2. During a Canadian Space Agency mission in 2007, a probe captured this photograph. Well, its easy to say that at first glance we see nothing special in this picture.

3. Look closer! After the photo is zoomed in, we can see what scientists have discovered. Its a large monolith.

5. Despite the monoliths instant popularity, scientists haven't been able to determine what the structure is.

6. See what Buzz has to say here:

This case might be ended like some previous ones and the monolith could just be a giant boulder on a celestial objects uneven surface. But thats boring! Let's just go ahead and think about some alien civilization up there. What do you think?

Does Buzz Aldrin know something about intelligent life on Mars?
