Brilio.net/en - The UEFA European Championship 2016 is coming soon and the world is preparing for the quadrennial international men's football championship. The official sponsors, which are international and well-known brands, are producing special designs as the official merchandise. Coca-Cola is one of those brands that is launching its special edition to celebrate the grand football event.

For the 15th Euro Cup, a young Indonesian designer Gilang Bogy was appointed to make the limited edition cans that will only be sold in Germany. Bogy himself is a fan of Germanys team and has his own favourite among his works. I like the players who has their own signature expression, such as Gundogan, Khedira and Schurrle. Im really proud, especially for Schurrles portrait that has the perfect angle and his expression shows big hope for the German team, said Bogy, as reported on Good News From Indonesia.

The 22-year old designer admits that he found different challenges on finishing each of the characters faces. They may be done in the same technique, but has different characters that makes each unique. It took me two hours to finish the sketch of Lukas Podolskis face, but for Karim Bellarabi I needed two full days, he added.

In the process Bogy had to cut the image very carefully to fit into the frame he already prepared. He still had to draw the lines and give angles on the portraits. He has been creating designs with the WPAP technique for a while. He displayed his earlier creations on Behance, such as Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. He also had designs for other world famous figures, such as Nelson Mandela, Angelina Jolie and Michael Jackson.

The fact that Coca-Cola Germany is using his talent for their merchandise sets a new achievement in Bogys career in designing, although he is studying economy at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) in Surakarta. This also a prove to the world that Indonesian designers are a force to be reckoned with. Congratulations, Bogy!
