World leaders wore it at the APEC Summit in Bali in 2013 and a growing number of celebrities have been spotted sporting the wax-painted motifs, including Dakota Fanning, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Alba to name just a few.

This time the Italian professional footballer, Marco Verratti was caught in a batik shirt when signing a new contract with the French superclub, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He has agreed a one-year extension, which will keep him in the French capital until 2021, while ditching the offer from major teams such as Real Madrid and Juventus.

The 23-year-old central midfielder is one of the hottest players around, and just got that much hotter!
