She will teach a course entitled Women, peace and security together with British Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, William Hague.

In 2012, they both launched an initiative against sexual violence towards women in conflict zones. The objective was to initiate a global action that could help reduce the amount of those crimes. Angelina Jolie is particularly sensitive to that topic since her movie In the land of blood and honey was about the war of Bosnia, during which 20.000 women were supposedly raped.

At the conference announcing her nomination, she explained: "It is vital that we broaden the discussion on how to advance women's rights and end impunity for crimes that disproportionately affect women, such as sexual violence in conflict. [] I am looking forward to teaching and to learning from the students, as well as to sharing my own experiences of working alongside governments and the UN."

The course will approach the issue of gender, militarization and human rights. The students will be encouraged to do their own research on the prevention against rape in war zones for example.

On top of the course she is teaching, Angelina Jolie will participate in workshops and do some research work at the school. Often called the inexhaustible by journalists, Angelina Jolie accumulated a various number of jobs all along her career: actress, director, ambassador and mother of 6.
